It also comes with the iLife software suite, which includes the latest versions of iPhoto, iMovie, and GarageBand.
OS X Lion
Every Mac comes with OS X Lion, the latest release of the world's most advanced desktop operating system. With over 250 features including Multi-Touch gestures, Mission Control, full-screen apps, and Launchpad, OS X Lion takes the Mac further than ever.
Key OS X Lion Features
- Mission Control provides a bird's-eye view of everything running on your Mac.
- Launchpad puts all your apps front and center for easy access.
- View apps full screen and switch between them with a swipe.
- Interact with your Mac using intuitive new Multi-Touch gestures.
Flash Memory Storage
By replacing the standard spinning hard drive typically found in laptops (as well as desktop PCs) with flash memory, the MacBook Air delivers an almost instantaneous boot-up when you open the display, as well as faster application launches and snappier overall performance. Additionally, Apple has shed the enclosure that typically surrounds flash memory (usually about the same size as a standard hard drive), thus giving it a smaller footprint and helping to decrease the size of the MacBook Air.
Revolutionary Thunderbolt Technology
Developed by Intel with collaboration from Apple, high-speed Thunderbolt I/O (input/output) technology delivers an amazing 10 gigabits per second of transfer speeds in both directions. Built into the MacBook Air, the Thunderbolt port allows you to connect to new Thunderbolt-compatible peripherals as well as existing USB and FireWire peripherals using simple adapters. You'll be able to move data up to 20 times faster than with USB 2.0 and more than 12 times faster than with FireWire 800, and you can daisy-chain up to six high-speed devices without using a hub. Thunderbolt also supports DisplayPort for high resolution displays and works with existing adapters for HDMI, DVI, and VGA displays.
Glass Multi-Touch Trackpad and Backlit Keyboard
With the smooth, glass Multi-Touch trackpad, the MacBook Air makes it easy to navigate OS X Lion and your software applications. You can pinch, swipe or rotate images on the display screen with the brush of two fingers, or add more digits for a four-fingered vertical swipe to open Expose and quickly glance at all of your open windows.
In spite of its compact size, the MacBook Air has a full-size keyboard for comfortable, natural typing, and it's backlit so you can keep typing in even the dimmest light.
Integrated FaceTime Webcam
You'll be able to easily connect with friends, family, and business colleagues using the MacBook Air's FaceTime camera, which is integrated into the thin bezel above the display. And with Apple's FaceTime application, you're not limited to video chats with other Macs--you can now make video calls to iPhone and iPod touch users (Wi-Fi connection required for mobile users).

MC965LL A is my second macbook air and turned out to be another impressive product from Apple.
This new MacBook Air 2011 – MC965LL A apparently is an excellent thing on its own, and of course, being Apple product, it is different than any other plastic laptops.
Firstly, this machine has aluminium unibody, which is something that Apple can be proud of. (I save $100 here)
Appareance and form wise, this Apple MacBook Air MC965LL A is similar to its older generations with the Intel Core 2 Duo CPUs.
It is really portable with the 13.3 inch, very light and thin.
Beneath the unit, you will find some important features that make huge improvement, for instance, the 2nd generation intel dual-core i5 processor combined with intregated Intel HD Graphics 3000 processor which intregated into the CPU itself, a SSD with 128 GB, FaceTime HD camera, SD card slot,USB, Bluetooth ports and not to forget the Thunderbolt port which is also the MiniDisplay port providing the great new features for future coming high speed storage.
One important improvemenet from the older generation is this Apple MacBook Air MC965LL/A packs 2nd generation of i5 sandy bridge dual-core processor, performing at 1.27GHz, drastically faster than the older generation intel core 2 Duo processor.
The built in FaceTime camera as well as the application is similarly slick which enables you viewing videos in high definition quality.
Apple MacBook Air MC965LL A has a stunning screen which I personally think the best screen of a laptop out there, it has the highest resolution.
Viewing images and videos on a mac computers is just sensational. You will have thousand pixels and million colours, unbelievable.
Next improvement is the new Mac OS X Lion operating system which offers new features, one of them which I really love is the mission control features.
Just use 4 finger taps and you will have a bird’s-eye view to see all the windows that run on your screen.
Apple MacBook Air MC965LL A has an amazing trackpad that is built from a really thin of aluminium which intreprete numerous of your finger movements.
The new OS X Lion has some incredible features that lets you do swiping, pinching, and anything you usually do on Windows computer but I really have to say, it works better.
The Apple MacBook Air MC965LL A is a perfect keyboard to type on, very confortable, quite and solid when you are typing.
I can’t stress enough how really helpful to have a backlit keyboard, especially when you are in a low light environtment, I really think that all laptops should have backlit keyboard.
Apple MacBook Air MC965LL/A 13.3-Inch Laptop (NEWEST VERSION) has really great battery life.
I could get 6-7 hours of battery life while browsing internet, watch some HD movies, and transferring photos from my digital camera at one time. I know my old laptops came around with max. 4-5 hours battery life.
Apple MacBook Air MC965LL/A is a attractively engineered laptop, but what is more important, portable, powerful, and long battery life.
Quite simply, this Apple MacBook Air MC965LL A may seem to be expensive, but for the money you spend, you get a fast, and cool designed laptop, worth every penny!
